Our Farnborough clinic at Abbey House on Farnborough Road treats the full range of muscle, joint and nerve pain: backs and necks, shoulders, knees, hips, elbows and the sports injuries that come with running, racket sports, football and the gym.

You see a Chartered, HCPC-registered Physiotherapist who assesses the problem properly, treats it on the day, and gives you a specific plan to get back to work, sport and daily life. We are open six days a week, you do not need a GP referral, and we are recognised by all the major health insurers.

You do not need a GP referral. Book online, or call or text 07818 099994, and we will see you at the clinic or, if travel is hard, at home.

Your first appointment

What the assessment involves

Your first appointment at Farnborough is a 30-minute assessment and treatment. We listen first: how the problem started, what it stops you doing, and what you want to get back to.

We then examine the painful area and the joints around it, test movement, strength and, where needed, the nerves, so that the diagnosis is based on what we find rather than a guess.

Treatment starts the same day and you leave with a clear explanation, a short exercise plan and an honest view of how long recovery is likely to take.

How we treat it

Treatments for pain and injury at our Farnborough clinic

How long it takes

What recovery looks like

Most everyday muscle and joint pain improves noticeably within the first two or three appointments. Tendon problems and post-surgical rehabilitation take longer, and we will tell you what to expect at the first visit.

Whatever the problem, the plan is yours: few exercises, done well, with treatment that changes as you improve.

When to be seen sooner

Most pain and injury is a nuisance rather than an emergency. Get seen the same day, by us or your GP, if you have:

  • Pain after a significant accident or fall
  • Numbness around the groin, or difficulty controlling bladder or bowel with back pain. Go to A&E the same day
  • Weakness, numbness or pins and needles spreading into both arms or legs
  • A hot, swollen joint with fever or feeling generally unwell
