A small ultrasound head is moved gently over the treatment area for a few minutes. It is painless and forms one part of a broader rehabilitation plan.

Ultrasound therapy uses high-frequency sound waves to target soft tissues within the body. It is commonly used to help reduce pain, improve circulation and support tissue healing. The treatment is non-invasive and is usually used alongside exercise therapy and other Physiotherapy techniques as part of a rehabilitation programme.

Transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS)
